When a Luxury Caribbean Resort Just isn’t Enough

10 Jul

Sometimes, you just need the whole island! This resort can accommodate exclusive incentive groups in a variety of accommodations, which include 32 Ocean View Rooms, 20 Beach Front Jr. Suites, and three luxury Villas.

What is the name of this island resort?

CLUE:  This resort is on the largest private island in the British Virgin Islands and it was owned by the Amway Corporation from 1978 until 2001 when full ownership was transferred to the Van Andel family, co-owners of Amway.

CLUE: Sports Illustrated selected this locale for its 2011 swimsuit edition.

CLUE:  The resort is steeped in intriguing pirate lore and unspoiled landscapes. Breathtaking deep blue seas meet five, pearl-white beaches, while lush palm groves and verdant tropical mountains.

CLUE:  England may have invented the butler, but Peter Island has invented the “Island Host” program, an intuitive guest services program. From the moment you arrive till the moment you depart, your personal Island Host will tend to your every need: from unpacking, island itinerary, assuring every in-room amenity is to your liking, private island picnic lunches, candlelit beachside dinners and more.

Believe It or Not, Boston is an Excellent Incentive Trip Destination

14 Jun

Boston is a great location for meetings and conventions, but it’s also an excellent destination for group incentives.  Earlier this month, I assisted our “sister company”, Crossing Boundaries, with a client’s incentive trip to Boston.   The Four Seasons did a superb job, as usual, and our Designated Management Company (DMC), Best of Boston, excelled.   The client treated their top independent insurance agents to private “buy-out” dinners at Fenway Park’s Right Field Roof Deck (pictured), where they enjoyed a beautiful evening watching the Red Sox play the Detroit Tigers.  Lobster rolls, anyone?

Following that, the group enjoyed a private evening at the JFK Library and Museum, and ended with an evening at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.  Daily activities included guided tours around Boston, and day trips up the North Shore; South to Newport, Rhode Island and one to Lexington and Concord.

As part of the trip, the top agents could choose from a number of optional activities including biking tours, walking tours, rowing on the Charles River, an “academia” tour of Harvard and MIT, art museum tours, and of course, Sam Adams Brewery.

These agents were definitely treated to the “Best of Boston”.   And, Boston is one of America’s best cities to visit.  Wouldn’t you agree?

Why I Like Four Seasons Nevis

15 Mar

I’m so pleased to be working with MarkLogic on their 2012 President’s Club trip to the Four Seasons Nevis.  Nevis is a superb destination for just such a trip!

Why I like Nevis:

  1. American Airlines makes it convenient, with a daily non-stop Boeing 737 from MIA.
  2. Four Seasons makes it convenient. They greet you in baggage claim, whisk you 5-minutes down the hill to their private yacht. 45-minutes later you arrive at the resort’s private pier, where they escort you to your guest room. By then, you’re feeling very special.
  3. The Four Seasons is beautiful. There really isn’t a trade off anywhere. Every feature is top notch: from the guest rooms and the resort’s amenities, the beach, the pools, the spa, golf, tennis, and a plethora of organized activities to select.
  4. It’s closer than Bora Bora.

I think many of my Linkedin friends have been there as well. I would love to hear comments on your Nevis experience.

Like they say on Nevis: “You’re only a stranger here once.”

Update: Here’s some more info on the Four Seasons Nevis.

Luxury resort offers eco-friendly activities from sea turtle patrolling to garden and farm tours and guided rainforest explorations.
